American actor Homer Gere, the eldest son of Richard Gere and Carey Lowell, is set to star as Robert Mallory in the upcoming TV series The Shards, an adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis' prep school thriller.

The FX show is due to be released in 2026 and will mark Gere's acting debut, having kept an otherwise low profile whilst studying for a degree in psychology and visual arts at Brown University. The 25 year old has also been cast in the anticipated third season of HBO series Euphoria, expected to hit screens in 2026.
