London based non-binary actor, writer and podcaster Mary Higgins studied English Literature at Oxford University from 2014-2017, where they met friend and collaborator Ell Potter, with whom they would write their critically acclaimed debut play Hotter, and establish the Hotter Project, a queer verbatim theatre company.
Inspired by female friendship and sexuality, Hotter played at Edinburgh Fringe, before completing a sold-out run at Soho Theatre in 2019. The pair have since released a podcast titled Life of Bi, exploring what it means to be bisexual. The child of actors Amelia Bullmore and Paul Higgins, the 29 year old made their feature film debut in 2019 in Misbehaviour alongside Keira Knightley and Gugu Mbatha-Raw, before landing small parts in Cinderella and She Said. They wrapped production in May 2025 on their biggest project to date, a comedy directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Alejandro González Iñárritu titled Judy, where they star opposite an all-star cast including Tom Cruise, Sandra Hüller, and Jesse Plemons. The film is set for release in October 2026.
