Actresses Zooey Deschanel and Natalie Dormer have been announced as ambassadors for Crocs, and will co-star in the footwear brand's third Come As You Are global campaign, launching next year. The campaign will focus on four classic Croc styles, and New Girl star Deschanel commented 'When Crocs asked me to be a part of their "Come As You Are" campaign, I was excited to have the opportunity to join a fun and colourful brand, but more importantly, have the opportunity to inspire others to embrace their individuality'.
Ronan Mckenzie, a London based photographer, publisher and curator, dropped out of her fashion degree at Central Saint Martins just days after starting the course in 2014, but has since gone on to work for i-D, Stella McCartney, Nike, Vogue, Fila and Topshop. Born and raised in Walthamstow, east London, Mckenzie’s projects are often inspired by themes of identity, with her friends and mother featuring prominently in her work. Her latest project, a joint exhibition titled I’m Home, a ‘thoughtful’ curation of black British female artists exploring the ideas of home and family through visual images, was named one of Dazed Digital’s ‘Art shows to leave the house for’ at north London’s Blank100 gallery.
Kirby PR has signed reality stars Daisy Robins and Coralie Jo, and Michelin-starred chef Mick Élysée, to its talent roster, with Liv Kirby handling all publicity enquiries. Robins is best recognised for her appearances in Made in Chelsea and Ex On The Beach, while Coralie Jo stars in The Ultimate Matchmaker, and Élysée is known as an expert on Congolese-French cuisine, releasing the cookbook Not Guilty last year.
Sir Rod Stewart and Game of Thrones star Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson co-star in SodaStream's latest campaign, raising awareness of environmental damage caused by single-use plastic bottles. The British rock legend, who voices the campaign's animated turtle, said 'I have a great love for our oceans and marine life and was happy to lend my voice and support to this campaign. If it helps raise awareness and effect simple changes like switching to reusable bottles then I’m honoured to be a part of it'.
US model and actress Charlotte McKinney has collaborated with British lingerie brand Wolf & Whistle, curating an underwear collection 'for women with a fuller bust'. The Baywatch star commented 'When Wolf & Whistle approached my team about a potential collaboration, they really emphasised that I would have full creative control, and I sure did!'.
John Cena has been named the face of SKYY Vodka's Proudly American campaign, and stars in the alcohol brand's The Pledge video which 'tells the stories of those who believe in celebrating the spirit of today’s bold Americans'. Johnny Depp has partnered with British independent creative gallery, Rethink Art, to release 100 limited edition prints of his klecksography art, in support of Rethink Mental Illness. The charity will receive £50 from the sale of each print, funding local groups and services for individuals affected by mental health, and the Fantastic Beasts star follows in the footsteps of supporters Orlando Bloom, Dua Lipa and Ed Sheeran, all of whom have encouraged people to 'explore their feelings creatively, and to talk openly about mental health'.
Vanessa Hudgens has teamed up with US active brand AVIA to co-design a capsule collection, including bold colours, prints, and technical fabrics, launching spring 2019. The American actress and singer said 'I'm thrilled to be working with AVIA, a brand... known for its fashionable activewear and innovative technology. I'm looking forward to working on my first ever apparel collection with an incredible active brand and can't wait to share my new line with all of my fans and fitness enthusiasts alike'.
