Sister Sledge support the WHO Foundation

Sister Sledge's iconic hit We Are Family is being re-recorded and released in support of the WHO Foundation, 'in a new and inspiring call for global solidarity to respond to the Covid-19 pandemic and to generate proceeds to address the most pressing global health challenges of our time', premiering November 9. Band member Kim Sledge has worked with global social impact enterprise The World We Want, launching the #WeAreFamily video campaign and inviting people worldwide to star in the music video for the track by uploading their home singalong videos to social media, and commented 'From the doctors and nurses on the front lines, to the paramedics and police, from the midwives and scientists to the carers for the vulnerable, the We Are Family initiative will salute each and every one with a feeling of unity, strength and solidarity in response to the unprecedented challenges the world faces as a result of the coronavirus outbreak'.
