Rising Stars: Sibéal Pounder

Sibéal Pounder, a former Financial Times journalist, gave up her career in media to pursue her dream of being a children's writer, and is now the author of bestselling book series the Witch Wars and Bad Mermaids. She’s since been shortlisted for the Waterstones Children's Book Prize and the Sainsbury's Children's Book Award, and has sold the rights for Bad Mermaids to Sony Animation. As an official World Book Day 2019 author, Pounder is among speakers at the Dundee leg of the new Share a Story Live series.
