British actor Hugh Bonneville has been appointed as the new ambassador for housing charity, the Almshouse Association.

Bonneville commented 'Almshouses have been an essential part of our landscape for centuries, helping generations of people live in a safe, secure and socially positive environment. I am honoured to be a part of highlighting the work of The Almshouse Association, which is more essential now than ever before'.
