AT&T has unveiled the new line-up of mentors for its 2018 Hello Lab Mentorship Programme, which 'pairs entertainment industry leaders with aspiring filmmakers from groups traditionally underrepresented in entertainment' to create a series of short signature films, debuting on the Hello Lab channel later this year. This year's mentors include Lena Waithe, Common, Taika Waititi, Tessa Thompson and Rachel Morrison, and Waithe commented 'The only way change can happen is by helping to create it... We're here to help [the aspiring filmmakers] find their place in this business and tell their story'.
Debra Messing has partnered with TJ Maxx to star in the retailer's second Maxx You Project campaign, which aims to encourage women to 'embrace their individuality - together'. The project will cultivate an online community, connecting women and creating a 'shecosystem' to inspire and support others, as well as hosting a series of workshops, including a talk by athlete and Maxx You Project veteran, Laila Ali, on July 28. Messing commented 'I'm really lucky to have so many women in my life who live as their true, authentic selves... I want to pass it on'.
Jay Z has been appointed President of Basketball Operations at PUMA, and will work on player signings, product design and marketing strategy within the sports brand's newly-relaunched basketball division. The 99 Problems hitmaker, currently on a global tour with wife Beyoncé Knowles, has previously collaborated with PUMA on the 4:44 Clyde trainer.
Jennifer Lawrence is set to be the face of Dior's new fragrance, debuting later this year, the brand's first major fragrance launch since 1999. The Hunger Games star has been an ambassador for the French fashion house since 2012, fronting Dior fashion, beauty, accessories and charitable campaigns over the years, and more information about the new fragrance is to be confirmed.
Reebok creative collaborator Ariana Grande is unveiling the music video for her new single, The Light Is Coming, featuring Nicki Minaj, exclusively through the sports brand's site on June 20. Fans must sign up to the Reebok site to be among the first to hear the new track and see the video, and Grande took to social media to post a teaser clip, captioned 'hello twenty four hours until you can preorder sweetener and hear / see "the light is coming"'.
Daniel Kaluuya has signed to Creative Artists Agency for representation. The British actor, who won the 2018 BAFTA Rising Star Award for his performance in Jordan Peele's box office hit Get Out, and whose other credits include Black Panther, Sicario and Black Mirror, will next be seen opposite Viola Davis in Widows.
Lexi Boling has signed to Heroes Model Management, where Julien Miachon-Hobson will be her main point of contact. The New York based model, who's walked for fashion houses including Alexander Wang, Calvin Klein, Balenciaga, Prada and Miu Miu, was formerly represented by Miachon-Hobson at Ford Models, before signing to IMG in 2015.
