Grime Gran, also known as Margaret Keefe, is becoming an unlikely viral star, with her teatime chats with veterans of the grime scene earning her legions of fans. After buying her grandson, videographer Risky Roadz, his first video camera in the early 2000s to shoot grime documentaries, which became instrumental in elevating the genre’s profile, the 80 year old has built a natural, and sometimes naughty, rapport with rappers including Skepta, Lethal Bizzle, Ghetts, Devlin, Giggs and D Double E, who have all sat down on her sofa for a cup of tea and a chat. Roadz began recording his grandmother's conversations with the artists for his YouTube channel, showing a different side to some of the scene’s most infamous names, whom she spoke to about the joys of eating Bourbon biscuits, which led to interest from E4 which has now asked her to front a new YouTube series based on her popular videos.
