Rising Stars: Sophie Williams

Sophie Williams, a London based writer, speaker and activist, became the 'voice of a movement' when her series of Instagram posts advising people on how to be an anti-racist ally went viral earlier this year. Williams, who co-founded Culture Heroes, a non-profit working to increase non-white representation at a senior level in the advertising and the creative industries, has appeared in publications including The Guardian, Bustle and Cosmopolitan, writing about diversity and inclusion, and has been actively involved in various campaigns and speaking events championing the work of Black creatives. Her debut book, Anti Racist Ally, was released October 2020, and she already has another in the pipeline, Millennial Black, set for release in 2021.
